Successful grant proposals have resulted in funding for on-campus speakers, musical performances, written and audio-visual resources that served to enhance the ethnic, gender, environmental and multi-cultural diversity of existing library collections, and for discounted student tickets to dramatic productions at Theatres such as the Old Globe and the San Diego Reparatory. All those interested in submitting a grant proposal are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Any SDCC faculty, staff or department representative wishing to enhance his or her curriculum or to promote an on or off-campus event is eligible to apply for a grant. Student groups, with the approval of their designated advisor, may also apply for grant funds. Individual faculty members or departments may apply no more than twice in the same semester. All applicants must be submitted no less than two weeks prior to the proposed activity or event in order for the application to be submitted to committee review.
