San Diego Comic-Con 2025: A Fun, Fan-Filled Wrap-Up
San Diego Comic-Con 2025 took over downtown San Diego from July 24, 2025 to July 27, 2025, with Preview Night on July 24, bringing four days of pop culture fun, creativity, and fandom. One of the standout moments was a massive LEGO display of the San Diego Convention Center, built with more than 200,000 bricks and thousands of minifigures, which quickly became a fan favorite and a perfect snapshot of Comic-Con’s energy and imagination.

Salvador Guzman-Arellano, an accounting specialist supervisor in Business Services at San Diego City College, is a shining example of determination and upward mobility. A first-generation college graduate and proud City College alum, he’s now pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Cal State San Marcos with aspirations of becoming City’s Vice President of Administrative Services. Recognized at the Employee Alumni Awards, Guzman-Arellano credits City’s supportive community for inspiring his journey—from part-time student and shoe store sales leader to full-time staff member and supervisor. He and his wife, Bianca, a Ph.D. candidate, are deeply rooted in the college—so much so that they even got married on campus. His story is a powerful reflection of City College’s “You Belong” spirit in action.

John Dalton, former member of the San Diego-based hip hop group The KneeHighs, has transitioned from performing in front of crowds to creating his own music and fostering a community of aspiring musicians.
