ATTENTION NEW STUDENTS:
After you apply for admission, and are assigned a student ID number, your next step is to complete the New Student Educational Planning Workshop on Canvas.
Counselors are available for the following remote services:
- Ask the e-Counselor: submit an email if you have a general counseling related question, that does not require review of your personal academic record.
- Same Day Drop-in Session: Drop-ins sessions are available for new and continuing students who have a quick question that can be answered in 15 - 20 minutes. Completing education plans is not available during these sessions. Check for available appointments very early each morning.
- Schedule a virtual e-Appointment: submit a request to meet with a counselor for a longer period of time to thoroughly review the answers to your questions.
*For additional assistance in scheduling appointments, contact our staff at (619) 894-6118.
*Veterans students can schedule appointments through our Veterans office. Contact them at cityva@sdccd.edu.
- Active duty military students must request an appointment or drop-in session via our Online Counseling website.
*If you are in the DSPS, EOPS, and CalWORKs programs, you may also schedule appointments through those departments.
*If you have financial aid related questions, you may also meet with Financial Aid staff members during their Virtual Live Support.
