Welcome and Mission
The San Diego City College Evaluations Department's highest priority is to enhance our students' completion goals by informing and supporting students through their applications for certificates, degrees, and/or general education certification petitions, and providing information about the campus commencement ceremony in a timely and efficient manner.

Please be ready to provide your full name, 10-digit Student ID number, and any other information pertaining to your situation, so that we can better assist you. Our Spring and Fall hours are:
Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 5pm, and
Fridays from 8:00am - 1:00pm
What can the City Evaluations Office do for you?
We are here to provide services to help you submit your application for graduation and other forms and petitions to address your various academic needs.
The following forms, along with supporting documents, can be submitted electronically after meeting with one of our Academic Counselors.

Please allow a general turnaround time of 3-5 business days for a response to most forms. (Please note that Apply for Certificate of Performance turnaround times are generally 2-4 weeks, and Request to Reissue Diploma turnaround times are generally 4-6 weeks.) Additional turnaround times will vary depending on the type of form and its processing route.

To view your graduation status, log into your mySDCCD Student Portal, go to the My Academics section, and click “View Graduation Status.”
Important Deadlines:
Fall 2024
October 1, 2024 - Deadline to file an Application for Graduation ONLY for students transferring to a CSU in Spring 2025 who are completing an Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) or an Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T). (Associate Degree for Transfer)
November 15, 2024 - Deadline to file an Application for Graduation and be a Fall 2024 graduate. (Students filing after this date will be Spring 2025 graduates.)
Spring 2025
February 15, 2025 - Deadline to file an Application for Graduation for students transferring to a CSU in Fall 2025 who are completing an Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) or an Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T). (Associate Degree for Transfer)
March 15, 2025 - Deadline to file an Application for Graduation and ensure their name will be included in the commencement program.
April 30, 2025 - Deadline to file an Application for Graduation and be a Spring 2025 graduate. (Students filing after this date will be Summer 2025 graduates.)
Summer 2025
July 31, 2025 - Deadline to Apply for Graduation and be a Summer 2025 graduate. (Students filing after this date will be Fall 2025 graduates.)
IGETC Certification
June 30, 2025 - Deadline to submit the Request for General Education Certification form to have your IGETC certified
Both the IGETC and CSU General Education Certification requires two weeks of processing time.

District Evaluations
The San Diego Community College District Evaluations website contains District-wide evaluations information.
The District Evaluators determine which courses are applicable toward your Certificate of Achievement, Associate Degree, or Associate Degree for Transfer, and are also responsible for evaluating many of the forms which affect your permanent academic record.

Department Student Learning Outcome
Students will learn how to access and complete the proper forms and petitions to achieve their educational goals with respect to degree and/or certificate attainment.
