Dear Future Beauty Professionals

Welcome to the Cosmetology Department at San Diego City College,
At City College School of Cosmetology, we are committed to providing every student with the opportunity to succeed. We offer comprehensive programs in Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail Technology, designed to prepare students for both California State Board licensure and long-term career success.
Our instructional faculty are highly educated industry professionals who are passionate about teaching and eager to share real-world career experiences and foundational skills. Our goal is to ensure students graduate confident, skilled, and prepared for the demands of the beauty industry.

We are proud to be the only program in the state of California that offers students the option of earning either a Certificate of Achievement or an Associate Degree in Cosmetology or Esthetics. Our comprehensive programming, combined with the use of modern digital educational platforms, ensures students are industry-ready upon graduation.

Our long-standing program instills a strong foundation, professional confidence, and a competitive edge—qualities that lead to the best opportunities the beauty industry has to offer. Join us and begin your journey toward becoming a successful beauty professional at City College School of Cosmetology.
