Work-Based Learning

 

At City College’s BICET School, Work-Based Learning bridges your coursework to the workplace. Through paid and unpaid internships, apprenticeships, and on-the-job experiences, you’ll apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to real-world jobs—and gain the confidence to step into your career. All BICET students—regardless of major or program—are eligible. Whether you’re studying Business, Information Technology, Cosmetology, Engineering, or Trades, we’ll help you find an experience that suits your interests, schedule, and goals.

Engaging in Work-Based Learning has been shown to increase student success and completion rates—WBL participants within the district achieved approximately a 5 % higher completion rate than non-participants.
