San Diego City College Career Center partners with local and regional employers to connect them with a broad, career-ready pool of students. Whether you’re recruiting interns, part-time staff, or full-time employees, our team supports your hiring needs through customized outreach, events, and direct engagement.

Post Your Employment Opportunities on Handshake

San Diego City College uses Handshake as our official job and internship platform. Employers can post opportunities, connect with students, and promote events directly through their Handshake account. Follow the steps below to get started.


1. Set Up Your Handshake Account

  • Make sure your user account is connected to your organization’s Handshake profile.
  • If you need posting access, contact your company’s Owner or Admin to request permission.
  • If you don't have a Handshake account, you can create one using the button below.

2. Post a Job

  • From your Handshake dashboard, select “Post a Job” or navigate to Jobs → Create Job.

  • Complete the job posting form with key details, including:
    • Position Title
    • Location or Remote Options
    • Time Requirements
    • Compensation & Benefits
    • Qualifications
    • Schools you want to recruit from (be sure to select San Diego Community College District)

3. Promote Your Opportunity

  • Once your posting is live, you can view and contact qualified student applicants.
  • If your company attends any upcoming San Diego City College career events, your job posting will also be promoted to students.

Schedule an appointment with our employer outreach and career services team to assist you in coordinating an information session, on-site open house, career fair, on-site recruitment and screening, or customized presentations to attract students and graduates from your region.

Resume Collections + Resume Books

Let us do the resume collection for you! We can promote your open positions using your marketing materials and, in return, provide you with a book of all interested candidate resumes for your review.

Networking Events

Employers are encouraged to attend our professional networking events with San Diego City College students and alumni. This is a great opportunity to network and informally meet potential job candidates.
