Information and Learning Technology
Our Commitment:
San Diego City College’s Information and Learning Technology (ILT) department is committed to providing support that meets the demand for reliable technology resources and the service-level expectation of our college community. Our goals include:
- Increase access to and utilization of campus technology and learning resources for student, faculty, and staff success through the provision of effective technology resources and support services.
- Strengthen our institutional effectiveness through innovation, continuous process and systems improvement, staff development, and continued collaboration with SDCCD’s District IT.
- Facilitate the continued use of our website, digital signage, and kiosks to convey up-to-date content for our campus community
- Ensure fiscal solvency through sound fiscal planning and management.
Information and Learning Technology Units:
- Dean’s Office Administrative oversight and fiscal management of ILT
- Independent Learning Center (ILC) Open computer labs for students
- Office of Classroom Technology Management (OCTM) Campus-wide classroom presentation technology support, technology support for events & AV Liaison
- Technical Services Group (TSG) Technical support for computer labs and remote technology devices
Partnership with District IT:
- SDCCD IT Service Desk Help Desk and technical support for Administrative/office computers
- Network Infrastructure Maintaining a safe and reliable network environment, including WIFI
ILC Support Services
- The campus’ only open academic computing facility
- Featuring two computer labs with 60 Internet enabled computer workstations as well as media viewing stations
- Provides general academic computing support
- Supports the use of multimedia content and Online resources
- Provides access to productivity software, including the Microsoft 365 and Adobe Suite programs

First floor of the LRC (R building). We offer open academic computing labs for students
needing support on Windows PCs and iMacs.
Lab Hours: Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Friday 8:30am – 12:30pm
San Diego City College’s OFFICE OF CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT (OCTM) provides technical support for the College’s instructional smart classrooms, campus events, and in-service training.

The IT Service Desk staff provides immediate technical assistance during business hours. If the issue or question cannot be resolved or answered quickly, the Service Desk will open a case with an assigned number and refer it to the appropriate technician for follow up.
