The School of BICET prepares students for high-demand, high-wage careers through hands-on training, industry-recognized credentials, and critical work-based learning experience. Our programs are designed in collaboration with employers and subject matter experts to ensure you graduate with the educational training, employability skills, and certifications that lead directly to careers and long-term advancement.

BUSINESS

The Business program builds skills in accounting, entrepreneurship, marketing, and management. Whether you're career-focused or planning to transfer, our courses prepare you for success.


COSMETOLOGY

The Cosmetology program trains students in hair, skin, and nail care with hands-on experience in cutting, coloring, and styling—preparing you for state licensing and a career in beauty.


ENGINEERING

Our Engineering program offers hands-on learning in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and design—ideal for students planning to transfer and build a future in STEM.

City College’s Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing programs—from HVAC/R and Electricity to Manufacturing and Technical Illustration—pair hands-on labs with real projects. Build in-demand skills in controls, circuits, renewable energy, CAD/CAM, CNC, metrology, and technical graphics to prepare for technician roles, apprenticeships, certifications, and transfer.


INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Information Technology program offers degrees in Cyber Defense and training in ethical hacking, cybersecurity, and network security to prepare you for certification and careers in tech.

TECHNICAL TRADES

Technical Trades students gain real-world experience in CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing using state-of-the-art equipment. Get career-ready in today’s growing trades sector.


APPRENTICESHIP

The Apprenticeship program combines hands-on learning with college credit. Our industry partners, including MTS and SDG&E, help connect students with career opportunities.


CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING

Earn college credit for prior experience, including military service, certifications, or work. Our Credit for Prior Learning program helps you save time and fast-track your degree.


WORK-BASED LEARNING

Work-Based Learning connects the classroom to career industries. That is encouraging career activities in the classroom and provide real—world experience to help students in their career paths.
