About the Common Application
The Common Application is the online application system used by more than 1000 colleges and universities, including many private universities. It allows students to apply to multiple campuses through one centralized platform.
Similar to other application platforms, the Common Application asks students to provide personal, academic, and extracurricular information. In some cases, students may also need to submit personal, professional, or academic recommendations.

Transfer application deadlines for colleges and universities using the Common Application vary. Please reach out to your respective university or visit their website for information about specific dates and deadlines.
Application Assistance
Many of your questions about the Common application may be answered by reviewing the resources available in the Help Center. Some campuses offer virtual workshops to support students with their application. Please visit the respective university website and/or reach out to their Transfer Admissions Counselor. The San Diego City College Transfer Center hosts multiple Application Workshops and Labs throughout the transfer season to assist students with completing their application.
