Did you know there are pathways that can give you guaranteed admission to a UC, CSU, or even directly into SDSU? Each program and major has its own eligibility requirements and timeline.

SDSU

Guaranteed Admission Program

A new pathway giving eligible City, Mesa, and Miramar students guaranteed admission to San Diego State for participating majors.

Six campuses, one guarantee

Follow the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee pathway at City College to earn guaranteed admission to one of six participating UC campuses.

Guaranteed admission to the CSU

An Associate Degree for Transfer gives you priority admission consideration and a guarantee into the CSU system with junior standing.

For first-year students

The Transfer Success Pathway provides you with a guarantee of admission into a specific CSU campus and participating major during your first year at City College.

UCSD U-Link

Guarantee to UC San Diego

Eligible first-year community college students can sign an agreement for guaranteed admission to UC San Diego. Students must have a 3.5 GPA and household income of less than $40,000. Sign your contract before the end of your first year.

Guarantee to HBCU Partner Schools

Receive guaranteed admission to more than 30 HBCU partner schools with 30 transferable units or your Associate Degree for Transfer.

Guarantee to Private Colleges & Universities

Through the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU), several universities offer guaranteed admission to California Community College students who:

  • Earn an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT)
  • Meet admission requirements

Students who meet these requirements are guaranteed to start at the university at junior standing. Please note that the agreements are avilable for select majors.
