CSU Transfer Success Pathway

Enrollment now open for the CSU Transfer Success Pathway (TSP)! Deadline: October 31, 2025


The CSU Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) is a program that offers dual admission to eligible first-time, first-year students who enroll at a California Community College and commit to transferring to a CSU within three years.

The program was first available in the fall 2023 and is designed to increase access to the California State University for students who have faced academic, financial or personal challenges that previously prevented them from attending.

Eligibility

The CSU Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) is open to:

  • First time college students (from any prior graduation year) with a HS diploma or GED who have not previously enrolled in college courses, or;
  • Students who graduated in 2025 or prior and completed college classes during the summer immediately after graduation, or;
  • Students who graduated in 2025 or prior who completed community college courses through CCAP or dual enrollment

Program Benefits

Students who enroll in the TSP program can:

  • Secure guaranteed admission to a participating CSU campus and major by meeting all program requirements;
  • Receive early, personalized transfer guidance from CSU admissions representatives;
  • Use the CSU Transfer Planner to:
    • Explore campuses and degree options;
    • Confirm eligibility and complete the dual admission process;
    • Plan and track their coursework toward transfer;
    • Connect with CSU campuses and programs;

To remain eligible, students must complete their required courses at California Community College.

How to Apply

Students can apply to the program through the CSU Transfer Planner Portal during the enrollment window: August 1 – October 31. Watch a brief instructional video for more information.

Program Options

TSP participants may choose to sign an agreement for a major at any one of the 22 CSU campuses. All 22 CSU campuses participate in TSP. Not all majors will be available at each campus. View list of eligible programs as of August 1, 2025.

Students can secure guaranteed admission to San Diego State University (SDSU) through two pathways:
