Important Registration and FAFSA Updates

  • New registration holds are on pause due to overdue balances for Fall 2024
  • Students will not be dropped from their Summer 2024 classes due to non-payment. However, the drop-for-non-payment process for Fall 2024 classes will resume in early August.
  • Summer and Fall Aid Awards and CCPG.  Due to the impact of the 2024-2025 FAFSA Simplification updates implementation, we are slightly delayed in processing financial aid for Summer and Fall 2024 semesters.

  • You will begin to have access to 2024-2025 FAFSAs and The Financial Aid Office will notify students regarding Fall 2024 necessary info, required documentation and CCPG eligibility.

Do you have a Special or Unusual Circumstance Financial Aid needs to know about?

Professional Judgements are Available to all San Diego City College Students! Click on the links below to request one.

Special Circumstances refer to the financial situations (loss of a job, etc.) that justify an aid administrator adjusting data elements in the COA or in the SAI calculation.

Unusual Circumstances refer to the conditions that justify an aid administrator making an adjustment to a student’s dependency status based on a unique situation (e.g., human trafficking, refugee or asylee status, parental abandonment, abusive home environment, incarceration), more commonly referred to as a dependency override.

Consumer Information

The Student Consumer Information Regulations of the United States Department of Education require all colleges and universities to provide their students access to certain information to which they are entitled to as consumers. Under these regulations, San Diego City, Mesa, and Miramar College and Continuing Education annually distributes to all students a notice of the availability of consumer information. The links below provide the information outlined for consumer disclosure by the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA).
